Designed and produced The Islander — a newspaper that served the Wilton Manors neigbhorhood.

Designed, produced and published free sports magazine covering professional, college and amateur sports distributed through sports bars, gyms, sports retail outlets etc... Responsibilities included start-up, art direction, photography, production, writing, editing and sales.

Imagesetters was a unique business model offering a bridge between two graphic design generations — combining emerging computer technology with traditional graphics methods and processes to provide a turnkey solution for clients looking to enter computer graphics or make the jump from traditional graphics to the new computer-based industry.
As authorized dealers for hardware and software manufacturers (Apple, Adobe, Microsoft, Agfa, Linotype, etc...), we benchmarked new technology and applied that knowledge to the real world — providing everything from equipment sales to finished design projects. The process was all inclusive: Initial consultation with clients (agencies, marketing firms, etc...) on their individual graphics needs, then providing the necessary technology, training and technical expertise to aid them from start to finish — introducing them to high-end computer graphics and then supporting their needs afterwards. Responsibilitiesincludedworkingwithclientsdesigningbrochures,posters,POPdisplays,logos,directmail advertisement, magazines, annual reports, etc... Prepress file manipulation, scanning, creating film separations, etc... Training clients in the use of Macintosh-based graphics software. Developed company databases, advertisement and staff training.

Creative: Planning, producing and implementing short and long-term advertising campaigns for major product lines (Zenith, Carrier, York, Jenn-Air, etc...). Developed marketing ideas, radio/TV scripts, advertisement, and copy.
Media: Researched media and markets, dealt with reps, reserved space and placed advertisement. Verified newspaper, magazine, billboard, radio and television advertising for compliance with co-op requirements.
Production: Responsible for production of all newspaper/magazine ads, brochures, flyers, direct mail pieces, point-of- purchase materials, newsletters, logos, letterheads, buttons, nametags, awards, decals, posters, etc...
Left position to accept offer from ImageSetters and relocate to South Florida.
